Compare the C-Class vs. E-Class with Mercedes-Benz of Warwick to find out!

What’s the Difference Between C-Class and E-Class Sedans?

Pitting the C-Class vs. E-Class? Our overview can help you make a decision quickly:

  • Pricing: The C-Class starts at $41,400 MSRP*. The range-topping AMG® C 63 S Sedan comes in at $74,600 MSRP*. This means it’s less expensive than the E-Class, which starts at $54,050* MSRP* and can be fully-equipped for $106,350 MSRP*.
  • Trim Levels: With the C-Class Sedan, you can choose between two standard models and three available AMG® builds. The E-Class Sedan can be had in four models: two standard configurations and two AMG® configurations.

Not set on a sedan? If you’re looking at the C-Class, you can have it as a sedan, coupe, or a cabriolet. The E-Class, in addition to being offered in all these styles, is also offered as a wagon. Pit the C-Class against a rival like the BMW 3 Series to learn more about its value.

Performance: Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. E-Class

Both the 2020 C-Class and the 2020 E-Class offer the performance that Mercedes-Benz drivers demand, but depending on your needs and desires, you’ll likely have a preference for one or the other. Here’s what you should keep in mind:

  • Each model comes standard with a 255-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged I4.
  • With the starting equipment, the C-Class gets 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway. The larger E-Class isn’t quite as efficient, with 23 mpg city and 32 mpg highway.

Considering one of the higher-end models?

  • You can also outfit your Mercedes-Benz C-Class with a 385-hp biturbo® V6, a 469-hp AMG® biturbo® V8, or a 503-hp AMG® biturbo® V8.
  • The Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers a more powerful range, with a 362-hp biturbo® V6, a 429-hp AMG® Inline-6, and a 603-hp AMG® biturbo® V8 available as upgrades.

Interior Features: Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. E-Class

You’ll enjoy luxurious interior features and technologies no matter which Mercedes-Benz vehicle you settle on. However, the E-Class comes equipped with a wider array of features as standard:

  • The Mercedes-Benz C-Class includes a 10.25-inch high-resolution central display, a 5-speaker audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, a driver-seat memory function, and optional ambient lighting.
  • In the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, you’ll encounter a 12.3-inch high resolution central display, an 8-speaker audio system, Active multicontour front sport seats with massage function, Driver and front passenger-seat memory, and standard ambient lighting.

There’s one more significant difference between C-Class and E-Class models: With the former, you’ll have 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space. With the latter, you’ll have 13.1 cubic feet in the trunk.
