Up Close with the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Redesign

The iconic 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been fully redesigned for the near year, and drivers in the Providence area can’t wait to see what it can do! Details are still forthcoming, but we can’t resist the chance to go over what we know so far. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been completely overhauled to cement its status as the signature luxury sport sedan. With more torque, more tech, and a new exterior design, the all-new C-Class is destined to become a trendsetter.

Next-Level Performance in the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the first sedan in the brand’s lineup to make full use of the mild-hybrid EQ Boost technology. So, in addition to offering up to 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque as standard—up 22 lb-ft from the previous model year—the new C-Class can also unleash additional electric power when the moment is right. For more exciting acceleration and smoother passing, the C-Class lets you access 20 additional horsepower and 148 additional lb-ft of torque via its battery.

Even more powerful AMG® models are likely to become available at a later date, and additional electrified powertrains may be offered as well!

Updates to the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Interior

We cover standard features in more detail later on. For now, let’s start by exploring the high-tech, driver-focused features that will set the tone for every drive through Cranston and East Greenwich:

  • The 2022 C-Class now features a freestanding 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen display with a portrait orientation.
  • Although the touchscreen’s portrait orientation is taken over from the S-Class, the C-Class is the first model in the lineup to tilt the touchscreen toward the driver by six degrees. This subtle but powerful change focuses the entire cabin toward the driver.
  • The C-Class also receives the latest and greatest version of Mercedes-Benz User Experience. Voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay™, and wireless Android Auto™ all come standard.
  • The new C-Class also features the ability to switch between MBUX profiles using biometric authentication via the built-in fingerprint scanner.
  • Finally, heavily bolstered seats give the C-Class cabin a cockpit-like feel and keep you firmly centered behind the wheel.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will also feature a full suite of improved driver-assistance and safety features, including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC®, Active Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, and blind spot monitoring. This means that it’s easier than ever to pull out all the stops or relax on the road with your favorite features.

A Whole New Look for the 2022 C-Class Exterior

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class features a bold cab-backward design that extends the length of the carriage and gives the C-Class a striking, unmistakable silhouette. Other exterior changes include:

  • A sharply rising windshield and a new A-shaped grille that emphasize the C-Class sedan’s focused, sporty stance.
  • The introduction of tapered, two-part taillights that resemble those of the A-Class and the S-Class.

2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Features & Trim Levels

We’re still waiting on the final 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class price list, but right now, we know that the C-Class will be offered in at least two basic configurations, with three trim levels available for each:

  • At launch, drivers will be able to choose from the C 300 Sedan and the C 300 4MATIC® Sedan.
  • C 300 and C 300 4MATIC® Sedans will both be available in Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle trim levels.
