The elegant yet athletic Mercedes-Benz GLC has been a strong contender for luxury crossover SUV shoppers over the years. This compact, two-row model has been offered exclusively with gas powertrains for the last several years, but this changes in 2025. The new 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4MATIC® is a plug-in hybrid crossover SUV. The system is a revived and improved version of the GLC’s plug-in hybrid system that was retired several years ago.
This plug-in hybrid system features a turbo four-cylinder unit and produces 313 combined horsepower. It includes a nine-speed auto transmission and 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. It offers an impressive 54-mile all-electric range. A fast-charging station can charge the battery in 30 minutes.
The GLC benefited from a brilliant design update when its second generation debuted in 2023, and this modern styling continues into the 2025 model year. Its flowing profile is combined with a tall roof to optimize cabin space. The rear is strongly raked to add a sporty touch. Over the GLC’s sides, subtle definition streams across the doors. The bottom of the door panels has an eye-catching ledge. The front end is captivating with a slightly upturned grille that shows off a stardust mesh pattern and a large brand emblem. The bumper is dramatically integrated with air inlets. The LED-topped headlights feature a wedge-like shape and embedded LED accents.
The GLC 350E 4MATIC® is offered in several sub-trims. Depending on the sub-trim selected, you could enjoy features like an 11.9-inch touch display screen, synthetic leather upholstery, a wireless charging pad, an MBUX interface, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a surround-view camera, a premium sound system, an integrated navigation system, a head-up display, a flat-bottom sport steering wheel, a heated steering wheel and others. Safety features are adaptive cruise control, an automated parking system, a driver attention warning, forward collision mitigation, a blind-spot warning system, and a few additional technologies.
